escapism

i like how colours bleed into each other until the edges are all fuzzy and lose their boundaries.

just like when you consume too much alcohol and you descend into madness (or slumber, like yours truly) and when you emerge the next morning from your bed which you cannot remember getting into, with no remembrance of the past night's events save for a throbbing headache coupled with intolerable nausea left behind as a souvenir, it's almost like you bled away your sanity for the sake of one night's fun.

just like how wrong is never really wrong and right isn't always right; how we can justify and explain our moral lapses to fool nobody but ourselves.

we shouldn't mislead people into getting used to the idea of rewards and punishments, because if you really think about it, both are intangible and unreliable concepts. i do, however, believe in consequences. you might not always reap what you sow but you cannot run away from the fact that every action, or inaction, results in a consequence.

simple concepts, yes. which makes it even more surprising when many people don't get it. that we are no longer kids who can get away with it all- hell, we can't even get away from it all.

on a much less cryptic and depressing note, guess who went rock climbing over the weekend! *pats self on the head* finally got my ass down to doing something remotely sporty hur hur andand may i boast that this weekend was a true first for me- up and ready by 0830 not only on saturday, but today as well! ^^v

for me that was quite an achievement, ok.
