touch-ed

went down for K^R alumni day today; certainly an interesting experience which stretched over the full afternoon, instead of the one lone game i was expecting to play. c'mon who am i kidding... gorgeous weather? check. invitingly muddy field? check. many many touch players? check. personal fitness? ummm uncheck uncheck uncheck uncheck! =)

it was really nice to be back, my first time since graduation. i swear i could have just camped out on the field all day, proclaiming my love for UN-ulu N*US (which i did, for about a minute or so hur hur) seeing familiar faces, playing at the field i once spent so many hours on, the euphoria that comes after a try. but what i do NOT appreciate is sore muscles protesting- what, you mean shopping and eating weren't forms of exercise? why, i never!

being back also brought back memories; some pleasant, some not so pleasant, some sad, but mostly happy ones. perhaps it's the bittersweet memories that hold most meaning for us, in a most painfully memorable manner. nuances of speech, hidden meanings behind gestures, furtive actions, all stored away at the back of the mind unknowingly, jumping out at the most unexpected moments, catching you off-guard. but what can you do? keep breathing, count the blessings in life, and continue forward.

because even if your own little personal utopia collapses, the real world moves on.

but oh happy day today! =))) that's probably the endorphins talking now... i really should exercise more.
