munch munch nyuummm nyuummmm

home once again; looking forward to the weekend, catching up with friends i haven't been meeting and all. sho nice.

learning that words are indeed scary, and that perhaps the pen, or in this case, the tongue, is definitely mightier than the sword. unless it's Excalibur or something, but that's another story altogether. thankfully it wasn't a lesson learnt the hard way; but seeing someone i know going through it makes me thankful that even if i don't always watch what i say, at least i don't end up pissing people off and create misunderstandings. i think. i hope. haha

and i used to have a teammate in jc who just rubbed people the wrong way. now that i think of it, the two are kinda merging in my mind; indeed why did i not think of her earlier. she wasn't a bad person per se, but her words just seemed to piss people off. but on the other hand, this circumstance is slightly different from my friend; at least the latter didn't create tension within the group, and she definitely did not eat her words.

perhaps that's what upset me the most; if something comes out of your mouth, why do you lack the moral courage and conviction in your own though process to defend and justify what you said? people have surprisingly long memories; things uttered don't conveniently get forgotten that easily. you can't just push aside what you said earlier and blame other factors; how old already!!

and it's just depressing that something like this has happened, with nobody for that person to really turn to. the worst thing is that i couldn't bring myself to look at her in the face and talk to her normally. aren't we all feverent hypocrites, always so eager to pounce on the failings of others.

so. perhaps instead of judging her and being all outraged and wasting my emotions on people like that, i should learn from this episode. and move on.

the promise of a fun weekend meeting up with everyone makes my toes tingle~! haha =)

have a great weekend, y'all!
