of foods and fools

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

Paraphrasing extremely librally here; just food for thought.

Food food! talking about food..

I'm totally loving Sunbeam's little boxes of dried apples and sultanas! i love the fact that the apple pieces taste whole and spongey, and most importantly, they TASTE LIKE APPLES. fantastic. i'm eating mini cubes of apple-y joy HEE if you see it in the supermarket BUY IT OK who cares about the sultanas. sultanas are the same everywhere. but dried, whole, sponge-y apples.. well.. that's another story. so now i've got 3 mini boxes of dried apples and sultanas, only that there are no more apples. eating sultanas reminds me of an acquaintance who thought raisins grow on raisin bushes.

i think my mom hates me. despite my pitiful hacking coughs and nasal whining, what did she decide to cook for dinner with a whole chicken? there could have been so many better choices.. chicken soup full of motherly love, korean ginseng chicken made with care to fortify my body and strengthen my soul, even steamed chicken, to give me energy. but no. she cooked curry chicken. which i felt obliged to eat cuz it was spicy and nice. so. it's all her fault.

i ordered a chicken cutlet that day at school, and almost died. the chicken was bigger than my face, which, believe you me, is quite an achievenement. but i guess i was asking for it in the first place by ordering western food. hanny doesn't like westen food. just goes to show that i should stick to old favourites. sigh. or it just reminds me that i hate chicken.

this is starting to sound like some sort of a food diary. and it's boring. so i shall stop here.

The realisation that i actually have the power to affect things and people and circumstances to my favour hit me suddenly that night. that i actually have a choice. i can make the most out of it, or choose to start on a blank page and fill it with as many pretty colours i want, as many glittery fancies and beautiful pictures as i want. or i can just say ahfuckitla and watch as it all turns to shite. i seem to be getting these startlingly obvious realisations i should have known earlier quite often these days. i suppose it's either that my mind is getting less muddy- all those years of eating mud while diving for that try, i bet- or that i'm finally brave (?) enough to acknowledge what i already knew all along but did not want to admit. aren't i such a coward.

i'm so flawed but they never believe me when i tell them. Stupid FoOLs
