Happy New Year!
ok so the post is about a day late. but who cares? :) overall, i daresay 2005 wasn't a great year- not horrible per se, but could have been much better. especially with so many things happening at breakneck speed the past semester, i feel like i hardly had time to just sit down quietly and reflect. (mental image of Han Na the yogi comes to mind- toned, lean and lithe, meditating in a beach house with the brilliant morning sun rising behind me, bathing my serene face with a golden glow. ah fantasies, fantasies.) perhaps i should have done so, then maybe things would be different. but hey, it's 2006 and who wants to think about the year past? i don't. ha
but this year, i'm older and hopefully wiser. therefore i shall not list out a bunch of resolutions which i know in advance that i will NOT keep. after an ambitious week or two of valiant attempts, all efforts of sticking to resolutions made at the spur of the moment will inevitably fizzle out, leaving me feeling sheepish and all deflated. so by feb, i'm normally muttering to myself about the resolutions made and not kept. so. should my resolution this year be to keep my new year resolutions? silly, isn't it?
oh. guess how i spent the dying days of 2005 and ushered in 2006?
reading harry potter books.
omfg wtf right. argh. to date, i have to confess that i've devoured 4 harry potter books in as many days. *shamefaced* but what's a girl to do, after having finished the narnia chronicles so many times over, done LOTR, read 99% of david eddings' books? derrick MUST be sorely regretting buying me the 4th harry potter book- where got people buy the 4th book, and not the 1st, of a series???- cuz now i'm bugging him to bring me to buy the next book, then the next, then the next. so. blame the boyfriend. ^^
yeah! blame the boyfriend! :) but how lovely and lovable he is haha ;)
