they say drowning is one of the most painful ways to die because you can literally feel your lungs filling up with water. however, after the initial panic wears off, euphoria supposedly sets in; that's probably a good sign that you're about to go. just like how there's this teeny tiny little period (in my case, at least) of alcohol-induced ecstasy, just before the-so-totally-smashed-how-did-i-get-home-omg-i'm-not-going-to-imbibe-alcohol-for-243589435094523-years stage.
here's my cue to muse about how we don't know our limits, that the line between total ruin and wild abandon is that thin. but alas, there are no hidden meanings there, just something totally out of the blue that i thought of while trying to sleep. yes i think of death for no reason, amongst a million other seemingly unrelated stuff.
