let's say you're in the midst of a marathon, and you're not so sure how much you've covered, but you know the end is near.
then someone comes up to you and says 'go for it! just 2 more kilometres!!'
most people will tell themselves to push on, what's another 2 km when you've already run twenty times that distance.
but i'd just stop and walk away, because the realisation that i've run so far for so long but dammit the finish line is another 2-effing-kilometres away?? will crush me and i'll crumble away, like the powdery remains of a dead snowy-white moth after you've unknowingly, unthinkingly stepped on it so carelessly with your dirty shoes muddy from the sudden afternoon shower.
tired. from what, i don't know, cuz my school is a dream and i'm being pampered shamelessly there thankyuforsmallunexpectedunderappreciatedblessings.
melancholic. smelling the night and wondering why.
why something that is so near seems so (far? that's too predictable, isn't it?) unbearable to wait for.
why someone who is always there seems so painfully faraway.
why being alone is never a choice but always a reality.
