kailing kailing where were youuuuuuu
so roomie and i made our way to sent^osa yesterday for yiling's 'surprise' birthday dinner thingie.
one lesson i'm learning is that surprise birthday celebrations rarely work- not surprising, actually haha and to be honest, (not that i'd be so BHB to assume that someone would want to orgasnise something similar for me hur hur) i'd rather not have one myself; call me a control freak, but i prefer to enjoy the build-up of anticipation and excitement in the days leading up to the big day. throwing a surprise whatever will rob me of that, right? ok i'm weird in a good way HAHA
BUT. the sudden rash of birthday surprises during the past week was quite fun, even if both birthday girls weren't surprised. it was nice to see friends ^^
and a totally unexpected, pleasant surprise (shock was more like it) was seeing pearlyn at harbourfront mrt! staying at pulau N*TU does wonders for your social life; the first thing your friends tell you when they see you is normally 'omg did you die'. it's almost like they're amused to note that i still have a passing resemblance to a human being, considering that i've been hibernating away at the corner of the world that is called N*IE. roar.
i'm just really lucky that i have a driver (albeit with an erratic schedule) *loves* =)))
and now i'm determined to nuah away my free day today; nothing constructive, please, after yesterday's horrible school day. *shudder*
