so my exams are over. as my brother put it so aptly, it was the 'FINAL PAPER OF (MY) ACADEMIC CAREER. as a full-time student, that is. i'll probably work for a few years in the private sector, get a MBA, and switch to something better.
the paper was surprisingly manageable; super non-tricky mcqs and straighforward short answers. i was kinda glad that my papers were essay-based and mcq/short answer-based. cuz it has been such a long time since i did an mcq exam; only the third one in my 4 years, actually. and i suck at mcqs la! bleh.
anyway. after i finished the paper, i looked around mpsh 5, and felt really sad. i remember having a paper there in my first year, and thinking how i couldn't wait to get out of this shithole. but now that the time has finally come, i find myself reluctant to bid farewell.
like the security in the knowledge that, as long as one studies a little, does some readings, put in some effort and it will be rewarded.
like going for lectures at LT12 and buying super yummy hot choco from coffee club.
like borrowing 10, 12 books at a go when THE deadline looms, and carrying it all back buried behind the mountain.
like going to the forum for various bazaars and complaining to friends that it's the SOS; same old shit.
like eating at the super-crowded arts canteen, loving the noodles stall auntie cuz she actually put in enough chilli for you to feel shiok.
like doing arts rag in my first year, having a crush on paul (those eys la sighhh), being persuaded to join arts club - sometimes i wonder what would have happened if i became a phantom in hall earlier, and became active in arts. liver would probably have gone before my 3rd year. 'i've never ....'
like my very first visit to central lib with franklin to borrow books.
like eating at munchie monkey's for the first time and regretting that i wasn't born, like, 3 years later so that i can enjoy subway on campus too.
like how i'm never going to be a full-time NUS student.
