was reading The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde while on my way to tuition just now. i remember reading it when i was much younger, in Korean- and it seems that the story was just sadder in Korean. but then again, i wouldn't expect anything less from a country whose main export seems to be heartwrenching melancholy. hate the part where the bird dies and the Prince's heart cracks into half. at least the Little Prince went back to his love on a faraway planet..my tuition kid said that i'm too sentimental!! hmm. you think? but if you don't know me very well, how are you supposed to know? haha sentimental.. i'm guessing she said that because i'm doing poems with her now, and we somehow always end up on a sad poem- like A.E Housman's To An Athelete Dying Young. and i suspect she's not sad because she does not fully understand the poems yet. hur hur but ended up giving her Andrew Marvel's To His Coy Mistress. that poem should be R(A). haha
perhaps i'm sentimental about stupid things. perhaps that's why i used to have truckloads of shit for sentimental value, otherwise useless, in my room. everytime i cleared up my room it was like garbage collection day for half a neighbourhood. haha i tell myself that i should detach myself away from certain stuffs, not care so much about some people, and generally learn to let it flow. so zen! but i cannot? it's just not in me. it's in my nature to worry about things that are beyond my control. it's just me to think about stuff too much. i can't help but be hurt even by those i'm not supposed to care about. it's my nature to overthink, overworry but know deep in my heart that there is nothing i can do. out of a dozen friends that i have, if even one is horrible, that is enough to make me feel bad. like how having a rotten egg in a basket will eventually contaminate the rest. but friends should not make you feel horrible, right? so if a person makes me feel negative emotions, then i guess it's safe to conclude that the person is not my friend, but an asshole. but a different kind of asshole from wilson. *wink*
went for supper with the self-proclaimed asshole, Bazooo, small keith, tze yee, weiren & cute royston. haha sho fun. :) and i made doraemon stop by at the mac drive-thru so that i could get shaker fries.. sho nice! but not too often.
deciding between going to sentosa with the block tomorrow, or meeting up with Derrick. i'll probably do the latter, since he has to be home for dinner and i've got the very-much belated birthday dinner with the Park Clan. ugh. imagine, if my parents just gave me the amount they'll end up spending on dinner, Han Na will be one happy shopper for a few days. hate going for those dinners where i'll end up being bugged to eat more, pour tea for the ancients and generally smile alot, nod even more and keep my hands demurely crossed on my lap. yikes. shame on me for thinking those horrible thoughts though. hahaha
seeing and hearing those pesky church camp kids made me feel really, really old. how can they possibly sleep at 2+, 3, and be up at 8+ SINGING??? yesh, singing. omg. to think that i had to be practically dragged out to Cheers (and mac's) during the chalet- but i WAS all clean & cosy in bed!! ^^;; but i seriously had a good, good time. gallen you missed out on all the good food!! hur hur lemme say it again.. NAVY SUCKS!!!

on a totally unrelated topic, here is the Park sisters; i think san san looks really good in this picture. the vainpot, look at her arranging her hair!!!
